Discord is a chat app where the community hangs out. You get access when you join, but participation is optional. Some members are very active; others just submit assignments and check the gallery. There's no pressure to chat.

Yes. Although we're based in the UK, most members don't live in the UK. The assignments, Discord, gallery, and magazine path work from anywhere in the world. We do run occasional in-person photowalks in London, but they're optional. The core community is entirely online.

Every submission goes into the community gallery. The best work gets top placement in the gallery, and selected pieces make it into the print magazine community section with full credits.

Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time from your Patreon account settings. No questions asked, no hoops. You'll lose access to the Discord and future assignments, but you can rejoin whenever you want. If you cancel mid-month, you won't be charged again.

Absolutely. Phone, film camera, digital. The format doesn't matter. The brief is the point, not the gear. Most members use whatever camera they carry.

Absolutely not. You retain full copyright to your photos. By submitting, you give Framelines permission to share them in the community gallery and potentially feature them in the magazine or on YouTube/Instagram. You can request removal at any time.
